Even former first lady Michelle Obama, who also shies away from Trump-era outrage, made known her disdain for Trump's comments.

France wants to reach a deal with the US on taxing tech giants by a G7 meeting in late August, Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire said Saturday.
He was responding to US President Donald Trump, who on Friday vowed "substantial" retaliation against France for a law passed this month on taxing digital companies even if their headquarters are elsewhere.
The law would affect US-based global giants like Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon, among others.
Trump denounced French President Emmanuel Macron's "foolishness", though they discussed the issue by phone on Friday, according to the White House.
Macron confirmed that he had a "long" conversation with Trump, stressing the pair would "continue to work together in view of the G7".

President Donald Trump on Friday threatened to withdraw recognition of the special "developing nation" status of China and other relatively rich countries at the World Trade Organization unless changes are made to the body's rules.
The global trade body uses "an outdated dichotomy between developed and developing countries that has allowed some WTO members to gain unfair advantages," Trump said in a statement.
Without "substantial progress" to reform WTO rules within 90 days, Washington will no longer treat as a developing country any WTO member "improperly declaring itself a developing country and inappropriately seeking the benefit of flexibilities in WTO rules and negotiations," the statement said.
While the statement points to multiple countries that benefit from the designation, it focuses mostly on China.

Venezuelan Socialist Party Vice President Diosdado Cabello on Saturday predicted U.S. Marines will “likely” enter the South American country, speaking a week after a confrontation between aircraft belonging to the two countries’ armed forces.
“We are few, a small country, we are very humble, and here it is likely that the U.S. Marines enter. It is likely that they enter,” Cabello told the Sao Paulo Forum, a gathering of leftist politicians and activists from across Latin America, without citing evidence.
“Their problem will be getting out of Venezuela.”

A strong 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Honshu, the largest and most populous island of Japan, in the pre-dawn hours of Sunday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicentre of the quake, which occurred at around 18:31 (UTC), was registered at a depth of 375.8 kilometres, south of Honshu island. No tsunami warning has been issued so far.
Japan is prone to earthquakes because of its geographical positioning. It sits on the Ring of Fire, an arc of volcanoes and fault lines in the basin of the Pacific Ocean.
