Imo State Government Approves 30,000 Naira Minimum Wage

The Imo State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodimma has approved the payment of 30,000 Naira to the least of any Imo worker in the Public Service.

This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, Oguwuike Nwachukwu.

In the Statement, he explained that the Public Servants captured are those in 'Grade Level 1 Step 1', while stating that consequential adjustments on other levels will be implemented as soon as the ongoing government-labour negotiations are concluded.
