THE PODIUM: THE EFFECTS OF WITHDRAWAL ON STUDENTS; THE AE-FUNAI PERSPECTIVE.

Yesterday, in our audience participatory program, THE PODIUM, we discussed THE EFFECTS OF WITHDRAWAL ON STUDENTS; THE AE-FUNAI PERSPECTIVE.

THE PODIUM is an audience participatory/interview program organized by the Office of The Senate President, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State Nigeria, aimed at addressing issues of the state as a growing national leader and as a student leader regarding to our educational institutions.

SUMMARY OF THE PROGRAMME


The program started by the 2100 hour by Comr. Kingsley C. Nwoke.

@⁨Kcee⁩ and @⁨Jonathan⁩ outrightly blamed the victims of "withdrawal" for their ordeal.

@⁨Mmesoma⁩ had an opposite reaction saying that the school/lectures should share in the blame.

@⁨Kcee⁩ said for someone to grab 6 F's from subjects he teaches others, it could have a spiritual attachment. He further said that "probation can make you bounce back".

@⁨Iphie said that most students study because they were pushed to do so and therefore fail. She also said that, passing is not by reading the most.

@⁨Ikem Destiny⁩ said, though "withdrawal" was vital, he still feels pain for the victims.

@⁨AG Mandamus👨🏼‍🎓⁩ said we shouldn't bring up excuses to defend our lack of interest in studying that those who excelled didn't see the path as rosy. He advised that the victims shouldn't fail to try again; that they could still be at their best.

@⁨Jonathan⁩ said though it may make them feel noncreative or intelligent that they shouldn't worry that after all non graduates do employ graduates. He further advised "freshers" and "remaining" students to be focused by studying in their own pattern.

@⁨Johnson Dike⁩ said there is need for proper functioning of the guidance and counseling unit and the school should provide workshops for student rehabilitation and he was supported by @⁨Ruth Ene (Dr.Aruthua) 👩‍🔬⁩.

@⁨GodzGee⁩ said prayers should be offered for them.

@⁨Yujin Boo❤⁩ said that the strategy in enterpreneurship should be used by the affected students.

Every individual has a call to answer; to succeed amidst failure.
